Moosara Privacy Policy

Moosara is operated by Moosara Limited Liability Company (Moosara LLC).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information across our website, consulting services, remote work tools, job board, and Certify platform.

We believe in open communication and aim to explain clearly what information each service uses and why.

For purposes of this Privacy Policy:

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Moosara's services, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Account, profile, and service preference information
  • Job-board profiles, resumes, job applications, and related messages
  • Location Verifier permission status and verification result
  • GPS coordinates and IP-based signals used for an active location check
  • Time Tracker work sessions, active hours, and time entries
  • Screen activity only when a screen-monitoring feature is enabled and authorized
  • Assessment responses
  • Assessment scores
  • Assessment dates and status
  • Client invitations and whether a User accepted an invitation
  • Webcam, microphone, and screen recordings during proctored Certify assessments
  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser and device information
  • Connected-display information
  • Fullscreen status
  • Assessment monitoring events
  • Information used to detect use of a virtual private network
  • Identity-verification status
  • Payment and transaction information when a paid service is used

We collect information needed to provide our website, remote tools, job board, consulting, and Certify services. We aim to explain what each feature accesses and why.

2. Location Verifier

When you choose to use Location Verifier, your browser may ask permission to access GPS-based location. You can deny or revoke permission through your browser or device settings; GPS-based verification will then be unavailable.

The tool also processes your Internet Protocol (IP) address to detect signs of VPN use. GPS coordinates and IP-based signals are used strictly to perform the location check you request, at that time.

  • Location verification is instantaneous and does not create a location history.
  • GPS coordinates used for a check are not permanently stored.
  • Location-verification data is not sold or used for advertising.

GPS coordinates and IP-based VPN signals are used for instantaneous verification only. They are not permanently stored or sold. Limited, non-location technical logs may be processed to operate and secure the service.

3. Time Tracker

When you use Time Tracker, we process work sessions and active hours you record so the tool can provide time-tracking functionality. Depending on the feature you choose, information may include:

  • Work-session start and stop times
  • Active work hours and time-entry details
  • Information needed to associate entries with your account or workspace
  • Screen activity only when you explicitly enable a feature that requires screen access

We will explain and request any required permission before screen activity is accessed. Time Tracker does not use hidden screen monitoring. Work-session information is processed to provide the tool.

4. Certify Assessments and Biometric Information

Certify collects technical assessment responses, scores, timestamps, and assessment-integrity signals. Proctored assessments may capture webcam video, microphone audio, and screen recordings to verify participation and protect assessment integrity.

If identity or face matching is enabled for an assessment, the verification provider may process identification documents, facial images, or derived biometric information. We will describe this processing when it is enabled and obtain any notice or consent required by law.

Moosara does not use assessment recordings or biometric information for advertising and does not sell biometric identifiers or biometric information.

5. Job Board Information

If you create a candidate profile, apply for a role, publish a job listing, or contact us about an opportunity, we may collect information you submit, including:

  • Name and contact information
  • Resume, work history, skills, and .NET or Angular experience
  • Job preferences, listings, applications, and related communications

We use this information to operate the job board and connect candidates with relevant opportunities. Candidate information may be shared with an employer or recruiter in connection with your application or when you authorize the sharing.

6. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies for site functionality, preferences, security, and analytics. Analytics may collect information such as pages visited, approximate region, browser and device type, and interactions with the site.

  • We use analytics to understand and improve website use.
  • We do not sell analytics data.
  • You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings; some features may work differently.

Where required by law, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

7. Certify Proctoring Recordings

When an assessment is proctored, Certify may capture:

  • Webcam video
  • Microphone audio
  • Screen recording

These recordings are used to administer assessments and protect their integrity. They may be used to:

  • Confirm that the candidate completed the assessment
  • Review assessment integrity and possible violations
  • Investigate suspected impersonation or misconduct
  • Resolve questions about how an assessment was completed

Recordings may incidentally capture information visible on your screen, around you, or audible nearby. Close unrelated material and remove sensitive information from your environment before an assessment. We do not use recordings for advertising.

8. Location Verifier and Remote Tool Activity

Remote tools process activity needed to provide the feature you choose. Location Verifier uses GPS permission and IP-based signals only during the requested check. Certify may monitor technical conditions during an assessment. Depending on the feature, information may include:

  • Location permission status and GPS coordinates during a requested check
  • IP address and signals used to detect possible VPN use
  • Whether webcam, microphone, or screen recording remains active during a proctored assessment
  • Fullscreen status and connected-display information during an assessment
  • Assessment start and completion times and integrity-related events
  • Time Tracker work-session events and active hours
  • Screen activity only where a screen feature is explicitly enabled
  • Internet Protocol address
  • Browser information
  • Device information

Location Verifier uses GPS and VPN signals strictly for instantaneous verification; GPS coordinates are not permanently stored or sold. Time Tracker uses recorded hours to provide time tracking. Certify uses assessment signals to protect assessment integrity.

9. Time Entries, Assessment Responses, and Scores

Time Tracker processes the work sessions and active hours you enter so it can display and manage your recorded time. Certify collects assessment responses and calculates scores as part of its vetting service.

Information associated with an account may be retained while needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account information, time entries, or identifiable Certify assessment data, subject to legal and security requirements.

We may use appropriately aggregated or de-identified assessment information to:

  • Analyze assessment performance
  • Improve assessment quality and evaluate question difficulty
  • Understand use of our remote work tools

We use de-identified information only when it is no longer reasonably capable of identifying or being linked to you.

10. Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain accounts, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our services. Retention periods vary by information type and purpose.

Location Verifier processes GPS coordinates and IP-based VPN signals strictly for instantaneous verification. GPS coordinates are not permanently stored, and location-verification data is not sold.

You may request deletion of information associated with your account, including eligible Time Tracker data or Certify recordings. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs.

11. Certify Results and Certificates

Certify may generate assessment results or certificate pages using information associated with your account and assessment.

If you choose to make a certificate or result public, people who receive or obtain its link may be able to view the information displayed there. Making it public is voluntary.

If identifiable assessment information is deleted, Certify may no longer be able to generate the same identifiable result or certificate.

12. Sharing Information With Employers and Clients

Job-board or Certify information may be shared with an employer, recruiter, or client in connection with your application or when you choose to authorize sharing. Certify information may be shared when:

  • You submit your profile or application to an employer or recruiter.
  • You accept a Certify client invitation or share a public certificate.

Accepting one client's invitation does not automatically make your information available to unrelated clients. Information on a public certificate may be viewed by anyone who obtains its link.

13. Candidate, Employer, and Client Information

When a candidate, recruiter, employer, or organization uses our job board or Certify, we may collect:

  • Name, contact details, and organization information
  • Candidate profile, resume, job listings, and applications
  • Account information and client invitations
  • Records showing whether invitations were accepted
  • Purchases, subscriptions, and transaction records
  • Communications with Moosara

We use this information to operate accounts, manage listings and applications, provide Certify services, process purchases, provide support, prevent fraud, and maintain necessary business records.

14. Payments

Certify uses Stripe to process payments. Clients may use Stripe when purchasing Certify credits, subscriptions, or other paid services.

Stripe may process information such as:

  • Name and email address
  • Billing information
  • Payment-method information
  • Transaction amount and date
  • Information used to authenticate or protect a payment

Payment-card information submitted through Stripe is processed according to Stripe's own privacy practices. Certify receives transaction information necessary to provide purchased services, maintain account balances, process refunds where applicable, and maintain accounting and tax records.

Where used, payment processors handle payment-card information under their own privacy terms. Providers process information on our behalf only as needed to deliver their services, subject to applicable agreements and law.

We may use additional providers as our services evolve. We do not authorize providers to sell personal information received to perform services for us.

Browser or device permissions can be revoked through the relevant settings. If you revoke a permission, the feature that depends on it may no longer be available.

22. De-identified Information

Where we use de-identified or aggregated information:

  • It is used for analysis, service improvement, or statistical purposes.

We maintain information as de-identified only when it is no longer reasonably capable of identifying or being linked to you.
