Software rescue

Software rescue for founders who are done paying for problems.

Whether your software never launched or launched and keeps breaking, I find what’s actually wrong, fix it, and leave you with a team and a system that cost less to run.

Who this is for

I work with founders and CEOs of U.S. companies with 1 to 10 people, whose software is built on:

  • .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, Entity Framework)
  • Angular
  • Azure
  • SQL Server

I’ve built on .NET since 2009 and Angular since 2019. I don’t spread myself across every framework, and that depth is why I can find problems quickly. If your software is built on something else, I’ll tell you on the call and won’t waste your time.

Which situation are you in?

It never shipped

  • You’ve paid for months of work and still don’t have software.
  • The launch date keeps moving.
  • Your developer builds the wrong thing or disappears.

It shipped, and it’s sinking you

  • Your software works, barely.
  • Every release breaks something, and your team wants to start over.
  • The monthly bill keeps climbing.

What’s included

Rescue and stabilize

I find what’s actually broken, fix what’s hurting your customers first, and get releases working again. I make sure you own your source code, hosting and accounts.

Architecture

I fix the foundation so new features stop breaking old ones, and so the code is clean enough for your team, and AI coding tools, to work with.

Team building

I tell you who on your team can deliver, train the people worth keeping, and interview and hire the ones you’re missing. I’ve run technical interviews since my years at Capgemini.

Ongoing support

Once the system is stable, you set the hours. Most clients need a fraction of what they were paying before.

How a rescue works

  1. Free 15-minute call

You tell me what’s happening. I tell you plainly whether I can help, what’s likely wrong, and roughly what it’ll cost.

  2. Take control

I get your complete source code, hosting and accounts into your hands, and review what’s been built.

  3. Stabilize

I fix what’s hurting your customers first. I set up bug tracking so you can see what’s being fixed and how fast, and I show you how to use the Azure Pricing Calculator so you can see hosting costs before they hit your bill.

  4. Repair or rebuild, whichever costs less

Most of the time, repairing is cheaper. When it isn’t, I’ll show you why in plain language, and I’ll keep whatever is worth keeping.

  5. Right-size and hand over

You end up with a team that fits the work, trained to use its frameworks properly. Keep me on for part-time support, or run it yourself.

What you walk away with

  • Software that works, with releases that don’t break what’s already there
  • Your source code, hosting and accounts under your control
  • A team sized to the work, trained to use .NET and Angular properly
  • Bug tracking that shows you progress without having to ask
  • A clear view of your hosting costs through the Azure Pricing Calculator
  • Code clean enough for your next developer, or AI coding tools, to work with
  • $48K → $8.7K a month

Engineering cost after I stabilized an app the team wanted to rewrite, and my work replaced a team of five

  • $37K → under $2K a month

Maintenance after I rebuilt a system that had cost $1.3M

  • 6 months late → done in 3

A stalled project finished before the money ran out

What it costs

I bill hourly, and you set a weekly hour cap, so there are no surprise invoices. A full-time rescue runs about $9,500 a month. Most projects are stable within 1 to 3 months, and after that, maintenance usually costs a fraction of that.
